03 - Cook over low heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens and achieves a creamy, porridge-like texture.
04 - Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract until evenly distributed throughout the porridge.
05 - Ladle warm porridge into individual serving bowls. Top with chopped nuts, dried fruit, and fresh berries as desired. Serve immediately while hot.
